1) We were required to create a swan by using a
Styrofoam. We need to cut the Styrofoam and divide the several blocks into
groups.
2) We started to follow the swan sketch that is showed by Chef Azrul on
Styrofoam. Next, we used a cutter knife to remove the excess bits using the
sketch as a guide.
3) To carve the swan, we need to do it very carefully and the
step was very important at the head part of the swan. Another difficult part is
wings because it required much detailed work and a sprinkle
of visualization.
4) After that, we smooth the rough texture of
Styrofoam by using sand paper. The rubbing motion makes the bird more
life like. After our swan changed smooth, we color our swan for the last touch up.
Finally, this is our Styrofoam swan.
